About This Opportunity
Our talent team is representing a confidential international technology organization seeking a Senior Java Developer with Angular/NodeJS expertise for a fully remote position. This is a long-term engagement requiring alignment with European business hours.
We are looking for an experienced developer who can take ownership of multiple application lifecycles—from design and implementation through testing, deployment, and ongoing support. You'll be working on critical systems that serve both internal teams and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, deploy, and support multiple enterprise applications
- Maintain technical knowledge transfer and documentation throughout project duration
- Develop and deliver work packages in development, maintenance, and production environments
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues affecting availability and functionality across databases, web interfaces, and supporting services
- Generate and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all services provided
- Address outstanding technical issues from previous enhancement initiatives as priorities allow
- Support internal administrative interfaces and external-facing systems
What We're Looking For
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong proficiency in Java, Angular (including AngularJS and Angular 2+), Spring, and JPA
- Solid understanding of service-oriented architecture principles
- Expert-level knowledge of web technologies: Angular.js, REST APIs, jQuery, JavaScript, NodeJS, SQL
- Experience with UI design, CSS, and HTML
- Proficiency with version control systems (SVN, Git)
- Knowledge of deployment methodologies including Docker
- Experience with data modeling and database systems such as MySQL
- Fluent English communication skills
- Ability to work European business hours
Preferred experience:
- Unix/Linux operating systems (bash, ant, docker, RSA, svn)
- AWS services: CloudFormation, EC2, S3, Lambda, ECS, RDS, ALB, CloudFront
- Search engine optimization techniques
- Lucene-based search technologies (Elasticsearch, Solr)
- XML parsing and transformation
