About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential global medical device organization seeking a National Advanced Clinical Education Specialist to lead their Left Atrial Appendage Occlusion (LAAO) program across the West Coast Region. This is a high-impact clinical leadership role focused on developing education strategies, advancing procedural excellence, and building field force competency in stroke prevention therapies.
This position serves as a national subject matter expert, partnering with commercial teams, clinical research, marketing, and field organizations to drive clinical excellence and support physician education. You'll work across a matrixed environment to scale best practices and support the growth of life-changing cardiovascular interventions.
Location: United States (Remote)
Travel: Up to 60-75% required

Responsibilities
- Lead development and execution of national clinical education strategies for LAAO therapies and structural heart procedures
- Design and implement competency frameworks, training materials, procedural guides, and advanced educational content for clinical specialists and territory managers
- Serve as clinical development leader for field organizations, conducting in-person and virtual training programs, workshops, and certification initiatives
- Establish and promote best practices for patient selection, procedural workflow, imaging integration, implantation techniques, and post-procedure care
- Mentor clinical leaders and regional trainers while assessing field proficiency and identifying development opportunities
- Collaborate with sales leadership and account teams to support strategic initiatives through targeted educational programs
- Partner with Marketing, Clinical Research, Medical Affairs, and Commercial Excellence teams on product launches and strategic planning
- Provide expert consultation during complex cases and high-profile account launches
- Utilize clinical and commercial data to evaluate training effectiveness, develop performance metrics, and present findings to senior leadership
- Act as national voice of the field by identifying educational gaps and recommending strategic improvements
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required
- 8+ years of experience within cardiovascular medical devices, structural heart, electrophysiology, interventional cardiology, or related healthcare industries
- Demonstrated expertise in LAAO therapies, structural heart procedures, or catheter-based cardiovascular interventions
- Extensive experience training physicians, allied health professionals, and field-based clinical personnel
- Proven track record developing and implementing educational programs at regional or national level
- Strong understanding of procedural workflows, imaging modalities, and cardiovascular anatomy relevant to LAA closure procedures
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and facilitation skills with ability to influence across matrixed organizations
- Strong organizational and project management capabilities
- Willingness to travel extensively (up to 60-75%)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced clinical degree (RN, NP, PA, RCIS, CVT, Perfusion, or equivalent clinical background)
- Previous experience in Structural Heart, LAAO, or Stroke Prevention therapies
- Experience leading national training or commercial development initiatives
- Professional education, field training, or sales training background
- Prior people leadership or mentorship experience
- MBA, Master's degree, or advanced healthcare degree
- Strong analytical capabilities with experience utilizing business intelligence platforms
