Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential fintech client in Berlin seeking a motivated Financial Assistant to join their Finance team. Working closely with the CFO and Finance team, you will support day-to-day accounting operations and process improvements.
Your core responsibilities include:
- Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable, including digital invoice verification and creation
- Monitoring open items and supporting dunning processes and payment transactions
- Reviewing and processing employee expense reimbursements
- Supporting month-end closing preparation in coordination with the full-time finance team
- Contributing to process optimization and digitalization of financial workflows
- Assisting with implementation of new software tools and AI applications in daily finance operations
- Optional participation in cost controlling projects or management presentation development
What We're Looking For
Our client seeks a detail-oriented student or intern with the following qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in Business Administration, Economics, Finance & Accounting, or a comparable degree program
- Previous practical experience through internships in finance or accounting
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and MS Office 365, particularly Excel
- Experience with DATEV accounting software
- Strong numerical aptitude, structured working style, and high reliability
- Fluent German language skills, both written and spoken; English proficiency is advantageous
