About This Opportunity
Our talent team is representing a confidential education technology client seeking an experienced Academia Coach to work with students and early-career professionals navigating higher education and academic career paths. This is a remote, flexible role where you'll set your own hours and rates while partnering with our client to deliver exceptional coaching experiences.
Responsibilities
- Guide clients through academic career advancement, including faculty positions, academic administration roles, and higher education opportunities
- Support resume and cover letter development tailored to academic institutions and research environments
- Conduct interview preparation sessions for academic positions and graduate programs
- Provide strategic advice on networking and promotion within higher education settings
- Offer guidance on curriculum development and classroom management best practices
- Advise on higher education administration processes and career navigation
- Conduct student assessments to personalize coaching approaches based on individual goals
- Host virtual coaching sessions with clients across various academic disciplines
What We're Looking For
- Direct experience in higher education or academic administration (faculty, research, or administrative roles)
- Prior coaching, mentoring, or advising experience with students or early-career professionals
- Clear, structured approach to helping clients build skills needed for academic advancement
- Strong communication skills with the ability to tailor advice to diverse client needs
- Comfortable conducting virtual sessions and managing your own schedule
- Passion for helping others achieve their educational and career goals
