Director, HRBP EMEA

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential consumer goods organization seeking a Director-level HR Business Partner to support their EMEA operations from London. This is not a remote advisory role — you will be deeply embedded with functional leaders, driving execution from start to finish.

You will build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across multiple markets, showing up in the detail of organizational decisions, difficult conversations, and team dynamics. You'll own the full cycle of workforce planning, headcount management, and people budget tracking as business priorities shift. This includes leading organizational design through to implementation, driving change initiatives with pace, and ensuring the right talent is in the right roles at the right time.

Day-to-day, you will partner with Centers of Excellence (Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Reward) and People Experience teams to deliver outcomes — but you remain accountable end-to-end. You'll lead talent reviews, succession planning, and performance management processes that genuinely influence leadership decisions. You will also translate local employment law requirements across multiple jurisdictions, balancing commercial pragmatism with compliance.

Coaching is central to this role. You will work hands-on with senior leaders to improve how they lead, give feedback, build their teams, and spot underperformance early. This role reports to the EMEA Chief People Officer.

What We're Looking For

• A proven track record of doing — not just directing — senior-level HR work in fast-paced, high-growth environments
• Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and work productively across CoE functions and People Experience teams
• A reputation for being visible, trusted, and direct with senior stakeholders
• Strong coaching capability with evidence of making leaders demonstrably better
• Comfort with ambiguity and matrix organizations; you create clarity rather than waiting for it
• Bias for action and low tolerance for unnecessary process
• Experience managing workforce planning, organizational design, talent assessment, and strategic capability development across multiple geographies
• Skilled at holding high performance standards with pace and without ambiguity
