Role Overview

As Security Officer at Promedica's downtown Toledo headquarters, you'll be responsible for safeguarding our facility and the people within it. This is a full-time role where vigilance, professional judgment, and strong communication skills are essential to preventing security incidents and responding effectively when they occur. You'll work to maintain a secure, welcoming environment that supports our mission of providing excellent healthcare.

What You'll Do

• Monitor and patrol facility grounds and interior spaces to detect and deter suspicious activity
• Enforce access control procedures and verify credentials at entry points
• Respond promptly to security incidents, disturbances, and emergency situations
• Conduct regular security checks of building systems, exits, perimeter areas, and parking facilities
• Document incidents, maintain security logs, and prepare comprehensive reports for management review
• Communicate and coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary
• Provide a professional, courteous presence to visitors, staff, and patients throughout the day
• Assist with special events and security planning for headquarters activities

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid security license as required by Ohio state regulations
• Proven experience in security, law enforcement, loss prevention, or related field
• Strong observational and attention to detail skills
• Professional communication and interpersonal abilities in a healthcare setting
