Managing Principal (Director) – Finance Transformation

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential financial services consulting organization seeking a Managing Principal to lead finance transformation initiatives. In this senior leadership role, you will:

• Lead end-to-end finance transformation programmes spanning finance IT, operating model design, and process optimization
• Shape strategic initiatives for CFOs and executive stakeholders, improving controls, efficiency, and financial insight including ICAAP, ILAAP, and RRP
• Oversee regulatory transformation programmes such as Basel, IFRS, and PRA requirements, ensuring compliance and operational effectiveness
• Partner with technology and data teams to embed automation, cloud, and digital capabilities into finance functions
• Drive business growth through client development, leadership of delivery teams, and thought leadership
• Work with senior finance leaders across Tier 1 institutions to deliver large-scale transformation programmes that enhance the value of finance and treasury functions

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Proven leadership in delivering complex finance transformation initiatives within consulting or financial services
• Deep understanding of finance operating models, controls, accounting processes, and regulatory change
• Strong commercial awareness with experience in business development and client relationship management
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and support collaborative, high-performing environments
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with credibility at executive level

Preferred qualifications:

• Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA
• Experience leading regulatory change initiatives including Basel, IFRS, PRA, Solvency II, or EBA
• Expertise in digital and automation tools such as RPA, Gen AI, and cloud for finance transformation
• Background in consulting with experience supporting growth and capability development
• Strong project governance, risk management, and client delivery experience
