Professional Services – Technical Architect

Responsibilities

Our talent team is representing a confidential DevSecOps platform organization in their search for a Professional Services Technical Architect. In this role, you will lead the technical direction of customer engagements from initial scoping and discovery through final delivery.

You will design high-level architectures and implementation plans for enterprise platform infrastructure and functionality, ensuring all deliverables align with customer requirements and contractual commitments. Your work will include coordinating and guiding implementation efforts across consulting teams and partners, supporting customers deploying solutions in cloud and on-premises environments using infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and Ansible.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Designing and delivering reference architecture implementations for both self-managed and cloud environments using infrastructure-as-code practices
• Leading source code management and CI/CD migrations, including large-scale enterprise transitions
• Building repeatable delivery kits, documentation, and enablement materials that help consulting teams deploy and adopt best practices
• Producing high-level and detailed technical designs that align with customer requirements and expectations
• Evaluating and communicating scalability and security considerations, including compliance constraints, in proposed architectures
• Deploying and configuring platform solutions in customer environments across major cloud providers and on-premises infrastructure
• Planning and executing source system migrations, partnering with customer stakeholders to reduce risk and protect data integrity
• Providing DevOps and DevSecOps consulting and best-practice guidance to customers
• Coordinating implementation work across team members, partners, and customer contacts with clear asynchronous communication
• Mentoring consultants through documentation, delivery kits, training materials, and enablement sessions
• Supporting scoping and statement of work creation with engagement managers
• Developing case studies, presentations, design documentation, and best-practice methodologies

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise combined with customer-facing leadership skills in a remote, asynchronous environment.

Required qualifications:

• UK-based location for remote work
• Willingness to travel up to 50% at times
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or other advanced technical degree, or equivalent experience
• Demonstrated experience delivering two or more of the following: source code management migration, cloud architecture, DevOps engineering, or CI/CD consulting services
• Enterprise software development experience with ability to translate requirements into clear technical designs and implementation plans
• Progressive DevOps platform experience, including designing and implementing reliable, scalable systems
• Hands-on experience deploying and managing infrastructure in cloud and on-premises environments using Terraform and Ansible
• Ability to write clean, maintainable automation and integration code with appropriate testing and code review practices
• Experience performing platform migrations using enterprise migration tooling
• Working knowledge of data consistency and integrity concepts and their impact on migration design
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, organizational, and time management skills
• Comfort working in a remote, asynchronous environment using documented decisions to keep work unblocked across time zones
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to lead technical discussions and communicate risks clearly
