(Senior) Consultant* – Meldewesen / Regulatory Reporting

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential financial services organization seeking a (Senior) Consultant for Regulatory Reporting. In this role, you will advise clients on the analysis, design, and optimization of transaction-based regulatory reporting processes. You will play a central role in implementing regulatory requirements and work closely with business units, operations, IT, and management.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Advising clients on the analysis, design, and optimization of transaction-based regulatory reporting processes (EMIR REFIT, MiFIR/MiFID II, and SFTR)
• Providing expert assessment of regulatory changes and deriving sustainable implementation measures for processes, data management, and system landscapes
• Creating and coordinating functional specifications, requirements, and target processes in close collaboration with business units, operations, and IT
• Supporting transformation, implementation, and optimization projects, as well as accompanying the introduction and further development of regulatory reporting solutions
• Ensuring high data quality through the definition and enhancement of governance, control, and validation processes

What We're Looking For

Our talent team is seeking candidates with the following qualifications:

• Several years of professional experience in transaction-based regulatory reporting within the banking or capital markets environment, with solid knowledge of EMIR REFIT, MiFIR/MiFID II, and SFTR
• Deep understanding of end-to-end reporting processes including data capture, enrichment, validation, reporting, error handling, and reconciliation
• Practical experience with Nasdaq AxiomSL and Regnology Abacus Transactions, including their functional design or further development
• Experience in regulatory transformation or implementation projects, with strong ability to present complex regulatory matters in a stakeholder-appropriate manner
• Experience defining functional requirements for regulatory reporting solutions
• Fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken
• High willingness to travel

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of modern data quality and governance frameworks
• Experience in stakeholder management at management and project leadership levels
• Consulting experience with international banks or financial services providers
• Experience with agile project methods and interdisciplinary teams
