(Senior) Consultant* – Meldewesen / Regulatory Reporting

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential financial services organization seeking a consultant to strengthen KYC and AML frameworks at the intersection of regulation, operations, and technology. In this role, you will:

• Lead the development and enhancement of KYC risk management frameworks in alignment with regulatory requirements and internal policies
• Identify, assess, and monitor KYC risks throughout onboarding, regular reviews, and event-driven assessment processes
• Develop and maintain risk methodologies, assessments, and control standards for KYC processes
• Analyze KYC metrics and trends to identify emerging risks and control gaps
• Collaborate closely with compliance, operations, audit, and technology teams to minimize risk and implement effective measures

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Substantial experience in KYC, AML, or Financial Crime Risk Management within financial services or consulting
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements surrounding KYC, CDD, and EDD
• Proven experience developing risk frameworks, methodologies, and control mechanisms
• Ability to present complex information clearly and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders
• Analytical mindset with experience identifying trends, risks, and control weaknesses
• Fluent German and English language skills

Nice to have:

• Experience with KYC technologies, systems, and tools such as onboarding platforms and screening solutions
• Interface experience with IT and understanding of system landscapes
• Knowledge of data flows and system integrations in the KYC environment
• Project experience in consulting or transformation initiatives
• Relevant AML/Compliance certifications such as CAMS

This is a permanent position based remotely in Germany or Austria, with hybrid arrangements available in Frankfurt, Berlin, Munich, or Vienna.
