Role Overview

The Operations Technician I/II/III position is a full-time role supporting the daily operations of our natural gas compression and production facilities. You'll be responsible for monitoring equipment performance, conducting routine maintenance, and ensuring compliance with operational standards. This hands-on position is essential to keeping our energy infrastructure running safely and efficiently for the communities and businesses we serve.

Your Responsibilities

  • Monitor and record data from compression equipment, engines, and auxiliary systems throughout your shift
  • Perform preventive and routine maintenance on turbines, compressors, and associated mechanical equipment
  • Inspect equipment for signs of wear, leaks, or malfunction and report findings to supervisors
  • Respond to alarms and operational alerts, troubleshooting issues according to established procedures
  • Maintain detailed logs and documentation of daily operations, maintenance activities, and equipment performance
  • Follow all safety protocols and OSHA regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment
  • Assist with equipment startup, shutdown, and load balancing as directed
  • Contribute to a culture of safety and continuous operational improvement

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent; some technical training or certification preferred
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn complex equipment operation quickly
  • Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a 24/7 operational environment
  • Commitment to safety and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, overtime, and on-call schedules as needed
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass background and medical screening
  • Experience in plant operations, compression stations, or similar industrial environments is a plus
