What This Role Involves

As an evening-shift Certified Pharmacy Technician at Vumc, you'll be a key member of the pharmacy team ensuring accurate, timely medication dispensing and inventory management. Working alongside pharmacists and colleagues, you'll help maintain pharmaceutical excellence and patient safety during the busiest hours of patient care at our Nashville location.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and verify medications for patient use under pharmacist supervision
• Process pharmacy orders and maintain accurate patient medication records
• Manage medication inventory, including counting, restocking, and monitoring stock levels
• Operate pharmacy systems and equipment with accuracy and care
• Assist patients at the pharmacy counter and respond to medication inquiries
• Ensure strict adherence to state and federal pharmacy regulations and company policies
• Support the healthcare team in delivering quality patient outcomes

What You Bring

• Current Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or Tennessee-equivalent)
• Valid Tennessee pharmacy technician license
• Excellent attention to detail in fast-paced environments
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively on evening shifts
• Knowledge of pharmacy operations and medication safety standards
