Project Manager

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential rail technology organization that is transforming worker safety through innovative geofencing and advanced safety systems. Our client works with industry-leading organizations across the UK rail sector and is expanding their deployment team.

We are seeking Project Managers to coordinate technology implementations at client sites throughout the United Kingdom. This is a hands-on role that combines project coordination, stakeholder management, and direct training delivery to end users in the field.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate technology deployment projects from planning through delivery
• Ensure timely project completion and alignment with organizational objectives
• Plan and schedule project activities, managing timelines, scope, deliverables, and quality standards
• Organize and deliver training sessions directly to client users on new technologies and processes
• Manage project risks, dependencies, and issues proactively throughout the lifecycle
• Produce clear written updates and reports for internal teams and external stakeholders
• Support deployments during weekends, bank holidays, and overnight shifts as required to accommodate shift workers
• Travel to client sites around the UK as needed

What We're Looking For

Essential qualifications:

• Significant experience in project management disciplines including planning, risk management, dependency tracking, and quality assurance
• Proven experience delivering training or coaching to end users, ensuring confidence and capability with new technologies
• Strong initiative and problem-solving skills with ability to think creatively
• Experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project
• Willingness and availability to work weekends, bank holidays, and overnight when required
• Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills
• Full UK driving licence and ability to drive

Desirable experience:

• Hands-on experience with on-the-ground technology deployments to users with varying technical skill levels
• Commercial awareness and ability to demonstrate project value to clients
• Strong report writing skills for communicating outcomes and insights
• Qualifications in Project Management, Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline
• Previous experience in the rail industry
