AI Data Scientist Senior

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential healthcare organization seeking a Senior AI Data Scientist to lead the full lifecycle of data science initiatives that directly impact patient outcomes and operational excellence. This is a remote position based in Pennsylvania.

In this role, you will spearhead the development, implementation, and evaluation of complex machine learning models in clinical settings. You'll translate technical concepts into actionable insights that empower stakeholders across the organization, while mentoring junior team members and fostering a culture of data-driven innovation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage complete data science project lifecycles from conceptualization through deployment and optimization
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and success metrics aligned with organizational goals
• Build sophisticated predictive models using advanced machine learning algorithms including decision trees, neural networks, and graphical models
• Apply clustering, dimension reduction, and deep generative models to uncover patterns in complex healthcare datasets
• Oversee model deployment into production environments with seamless system integration
• Extract insights from clinical and operational data sources including EHR systems and enterprise databases
• Translate complex technical findings into compelling narratives for non-technical stakeholders
• Mentor junior data scientists and promote knowledge sharing across the team
• Develop best practices and standards for data science and machine learning initiatives
• Stay current with latest advancements in machine learning and healthcare research

What We're Looking For

• Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field (required); Master's or PhD preferred
• Experience: Minimum 4 years of relevant data science experience (relevant graduate degrees may count toward experience requirements)
• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and statistical methods; experience with C++ a plus
• Machine Learning Expertise: Deep understanding of ML algorithms, validation techniques, and model deployment
• Healthcare Data: Experience working with clinical data formats and EHR systems strongly preferred
• Communication: Proven ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences
• Leadership: Track record of mentoring team members and driving collaborative projects
• Location: Must be based in Pennsylvania for this remote position
