Digital Onboarding Product Owner

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential financial services organization seeking a Digital Onboarding Product Owner to join their Transition Services team. This is a strategic role where you'll own the vision and delivery methodology for digital onboarding processes, working at the intersection of retirement plan administration, technology, and customer experience. You'll be responsible for driving product strategy within a specific platform domain and collaborating across IT, product, and business teams to maximize value delivery.

Responsibilities

• Own the creation and maintenance of onboarding methodology and service delivery models for defined contribution retirement plan administration across multiple market segments
• Establish vision, goals, and strategy for the digital onboarding domain, working with leadership to define priorities
• Partner with IT, product, and business stakeholders to define service delivery features and prioritize the development backlog
• Clearly articulate value propositions, define desired outcomes, and establish KPIs to measure success
• Translate complex business needs into detailed user stories with acceptance criteria supporting Behavior Driven Design
• Maintain an organized product backlog, adjusting priorities as requirements evolve
• Participate in UX design sessions and usability testing to ensure customer-centric solutions
• Provide product owner review and approval of completed user stories; inspect sprint progress and adjust course as needed
• Serve as the primary point of contact for product updates and feedback across the organization
• Partner with organizational readiness teams on implementation strategy, rollout, adoption, and user support
• Generate innovative solutions using creativity combined with business knowledge and data analytics
• Lead cross-functional teams on projects with notable complexity and risk

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, or related field
• Minimum 10 years of experience in retirement and financial services
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Product Owner or in a related technology-based role
• Demonstrated experience implementing and executing Agile practices with strong technical skills
• In-depth expertise with defined contribution retirement plan administration and onboarding across multiple service delivery models
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and strong knowledge of Agile and SDLC methodologies
• Strong communication and writing skills with ability to interact and influence at all levels
• Proven experience with facilitation, conflict resolution, negotiation, decision-making, and change management
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and natural curiosity
• Ability to work independently in complex situations with minimal guidance
• Capability to deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment while adhering to regulatory and audit requirements
