Kubernetes Administrator/Private Cloud Engineer (m/w/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential public sector IT services organization in Germany seeking a Kubernetes Administrator/Private Cloud Engineer. Our client is at the forefront of digital transformation, delivering critical infrastructure that serves millions of users. This is a remote position based in Germany.

In this role, you will ensure that containerized infrastructure runs seamlessly while remaining future-ready. Your mission will be to build and maintain a highly available, scalable, and secure platform where applications can be reliably operated and continuously improved. Working alongside a dedicated team, you will drive automation and optimization of private cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Consult on, design, and implement private cloud platforms
• Collaborate with specialist teams to provision necessary infrastructure
• Measure, analyze, and optimize platform performance and stability
• Build and operate distributed systems using DevOps methodologies
• Promote Continuous Integration and Deployment processes for efficient solution delivery
• Perform troubleshooting and resolution in containerized environments
• Configure and operate proxy systems, including incident resolution

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in cloud/platform operations
• Proven experience in agile development and operation of distributed systems
• Strong expertise in Kubernetes and Ansible (essential)
• Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and resolving issues in container environments
• Deep understanding of DevOps practices
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (required)
• OpenShift and JavaEE experience (advantageous)
• Very good German language skills (C1 level) and conversational English
