(Senior) Project Manager Post Merger Integration [m/w/d]

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential IT services organization currently engaged in strategic growth through acquisition. Our client operates multiple specialized subsidiaries and serves mid-market clients across Germany. They need an experienced project leader to drive post-merger integration initiatives and ensure acquired entities achieve operational excellence within the group structure.

This is a hands-on role based in Bremen with significant travel throughout Northern Germany. You'll work directly with subsidiary leadership to translate strategic objectives into measurable results, managing the complex change initiatives that follow acquisitions.

Responsibilities

• Translate group-level strategic objectives into concrete, measurable projects in collaboration with local leadership teams
• Analyze, define, and plan improvement initiatives including operational capacity optimization, leadership structure development, reporting systems implementation, process standardization, and IT system rollouts
• Track project execution rigorously through to completion, maintaining accountability across stakeholders
• Design and manage project communication strategies and proactively steer stakeholder engagement
• Coach and challenge managing directors and senior leaders, including addressing difficult topics when necessary
• Develop reusable PMI blueprints and standards for future integrations in partnership with executive leadership
• Provide transparent reporting to group leadership and escalate risks early

What We're Looking For

Essential qualifications:

• Structured working methodology with strong numerical aptitude
• Background in process, strategy, or IT consulting
• Demonstrated leadership capability and ability to drive decisions forward; prior management experience required
• Project leadership experience in complex change and implementation initiatives
• Experience with post-merger integration projects and operational excellence programs
• Communication skills with clear focus on essential outcomes
• Affinity for information technology, particularly AI systems
• Willingness to travel regularly and valid Class B driver's license

Valued additional experience:

• Expert knowledge of M365 tools, especially PowerPoint, Excel, and Power BI
• Degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Business Informatics, or comparable field
