Freelance Foundation Math Instructor at the University of Europe – Hamburg

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential higher education institution in Hamburg seeking a freelance mathematics instructor for their foundation program. This role focuses on preparing international students for university-level studies through fundamental mathematics instruction.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Foundation Mathematics instruction covering functions, systems of equations, matrices, logic, and probability
• Teach fundamental mathematical concepts in English to international student groups
• Equip students with mathematical skills necessary for research and scientific reasoning
• Conduct formative assessments and final examinations to measure student progress
• Track student attendance and participation
• Collaborate with program management teams
• Prepare foundation students for bachelor programme requirements and admission examinations
• Deliver 3 hours of instruction per week

What We're Looking For

• Proven teaching experience in Mathematics
• Experience instructing international student groups
• Proficiency in English with the ability to teach basic mathematical concepts effectively in English
• Passion for preparing diverse learners for university success
• Ability to assess student progress and adapt instruction accordingly
