About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential insurtech organization seeking a Lead Full Stack Engineer to join their 100% remote team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology while leading technical initiatives that blend modern full-stack development with AI-driven solutions.

Our client operates globally and serves enterprise insurance clients across health, life, and property & casualty sectors. You'll be joining an international team of over 120 professionals representing 30+ nationalities, working remotely from locations worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Lead the complete development lifecycle of enterprise-grade SaaS platform features, from design through deployment and ongoing maintenance
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of Full Stack Engineers, fostering growth through coaching, feedback, and knowledge sharing
• Define and drive the technical strategy for AI integration, collaborating with product and data teams to deliver AI-powered features that enhance automation and user experience
• Evaluate and implement new AI models, frameworks, and APIs (such as OpenAI, Hugging Face, Google AI), overseeing development of proof-of-concepts
• Partner with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Drive architectural decisions and establish coding standards to ensure platform scalability, reliability, and maintainability
• Conduct code reviews, enforce quality standards, and promote continuous improvement through testing methodologies and automation
• Identify and address technical debt, scalability bottlenecks, and optimization opportunities
• Champion security and compliance initiatives, ensuring adherence to industry regulations and implementation of robust security measures
• Stay current with emerging technologies and advocate for adoption of relevant innovations

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated leadership experience in technical roles, with a proven track record of leading and mentoring engineering teams on complex SaaS applications
• Minimum 8 years of extensive hands-on Full Stack development experience with Node.js and related technologies
• Proficiency in front-end and back-end technologies: Node.js, Vue.js or React, GraphQL, MongoDB, Docker, and TypeScript
• Solid hands-on experience building and deploying AI-driven applications or features using APIs and ML models
• Strong understanding of AI concepts including NLP, recommendation engines, chatbots, or intelligent automation tools
• Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) with experience architecting and deploying scalable, resilient applications
• In-depth knowledge of Test-Driven Development (TDD), unit/integration/functional testing, and testing frameworks
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming principles, SOLID principles, and design patterns with practical application experience
• Thorough understanding of web security best practices and experience implementing security measures for regulatory compliance
• Familiarity with container technologies like Docker and cloud infrastructure solutions
• Experience with Nest.js is a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective cross-functional collaboration
• Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects with a proactive, results-oriented approach
• Passion for continuous learning and staying updated with emerging technologies
