Role Overview

As an Inspector de Monitoreo Ambiental Junior at SGS, you'll support environmental monitoring operations and field inspections across the Callao region. You'll work alongside experienced professionals to conduct site assessments, collect monitoring data, and ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards. This hands-on role provides essential experience in inspection and field testing, building technical competencies in environmental monitoring from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct environmental field inspections and monitoring activities according to established protocols and client specifications
• Collect, document, and process environmental samples and data from assigned sites in Callao
• Support verification of compliance with environmental standards, regulations, and best practices
• Prepare inspection reports and environmental monitoring documentation with attention to accuracy and detail
• Coordinate with clients and internal teams to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met
• Maintain comprehensive records and apply quality control measures in all monitoring activities

Skills & Qualifications

• Secondary education completed; technical diploma or undergraduate coursework in environmental science, chemistry, engineering, or related discipline preferred
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and regulatory compliance
• Ability to work safely in field environments and demonstrate adherence to health and safety protocols
• Fluent in Spanish and English with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proactive mindset with genuine interest in developing expertise in environmental monitoring procedures
• Physical capability to perform fieldwork and operate standard monitoring equipment
