INSPECTOR SENIOR DE MONITOREO AMBIENTAL

SGS is seeking a Senior Environmental Monitoring Inspector to join our Callao, Peru office on a full-time basis. As a Senior Environmental Monitoring Inspector, you'll lead field inspection and environmental monitoring activities, ensuring projects and operations meet rigorous environmental compliance standards and quality assurance requirements.

What This Role Involves

In this senior-level position, you'll take responsibility for comprehensive environmental monitoring programs and inspection protocols. Your work spans field testing, data collection, and verification activities that support environmental compliance across industrial, construction, and commercial operations. You'll apply your expertise in environmental standards, quality assurance practices, and regulatory requirements to deliver reliable, professional assessment services in the Callao region and surrounding areas.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Conduct environmental field inspections and monitoring activities in accordance with international standards and Peruvian regulatory requirements
• Collect, document, and analyse environmental samples and monitoring data with precision and attention to quality assurance protocols
• Prepare detailed inspection reports and environmental assessment documentation
• Communicate findings to clients and internal teams, providing professional recommendations based on inspection results
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations during all field activities
• Maintain and calibrate monitoring equipment and testing instruments
• Supervise and mentor junior inspectors and technicians as needed

What You Bring

• Proven experience as an environmental inspector or in a related environmental monitoring role
• Strong knowledge of environmental standards, regulations, and quality assurance frameworks
• Technical proficiency with field testing equipment and environmental monitoring instruments
• Excellent report-writing and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently in field conditions and manage multiple monitoring projects
• Professional communication skills in Spanish and English
• Relevant environmental or quality assurance certification or equivalent professional qualification
