Drilling Superintendant

IOTA GROUP is hiring a Drilling Superintendent to lead offshore drilling operations in Port-Gentil, Ogooue-Maritime, GA. This full-time position offers the opportunity to oversee critical drilling activities and manage high-performing teams in a dynamic, safety-first environment.

Role Overview

As Drilling Superintendent, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and supervising all drilling operations across assigned wells. Working within the BU GAB / Project Management division, you'll ensure operations meet technical specifications, regulatory requirements, and performance targets while maintaining the highest standards of safety and environmental stewardship.

What You'll Do

• Direct day-to-day drilling activities and rig operations to achieve well objectives safely and efficiently
• Develop and implement drilling programs, including well designs, procedures, and contingency plans
• Supervise and mentor drilling crews, including drillers, toolpushers, and support personnel
• Monitor well pressure, formation characteristics, and equipment performance; make real-time decisions to optimize operations
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, environmental regulations, and company standards
• Communicate progress and issues to project management and stakeholders
• Conduct pre-job briefings, toolbox talks, and incident investigations
• Manage drilling budgets, schedules, and resource allocation

Who We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a Drilling Superintendent, Tool Pusher, or senior drilling operations professional
• Deep knowledge of drilling engineering, well control, and formation evaluation
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and environmental responsibility
• Experience working in offshore or remote drilling environments
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and technical judgment
• Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively across disciplines
