Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential database technology organization in their search for a Solutions Engineer. In this role, you will serve as the technical expert during customer evaluations, partnering closely with sales teams to demonstrate how advanced data platform solutions address mission-critical business requirements.
Your day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with Account Executives to close new business and expand relationships with Fortune 1,000 customers
- Designing, developing, and deploying Proofs of Concept with prospective clients
- Leading the technical evaluation stage of the sales cycle, including query tuning, load testing, and performance optimization
- Acting as the subject matter expert on distributed database architectures and implementation strategies
- Partnering with product and engineering teams to communicate customer feedback and feature requests
What We're Looking For
Our client requires candidates with deep technical expertise in enterprise database technologies combined with strong business acumen. The ideal candidate brings:
- Fluency in English and native German language skills
- Proven experience selling enterprise technologies, preferably databases or distributed systems
- Strong understanding of distributed database fundamentals, covering both analytic and transactional processing
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with data platforms such as Oracle, SQL Server, Postgres, MongoDB, Snowflake, or Databricks
- Demonstrated expertise executing complex POCs and deploying technologies into existing customer environments
- Familiarity with cloud and containerized environments, including Kubernetes orchestration
- Proficient programming skills in Python, Java, or similar languages
- Willingness to travel within the region and internationally as needed
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field
