The Opportunity
Orlando Health operates a dedicated freestanding emergency department in Lutz where you'll work as a CT Technologist II on a flexible part-time schedule. This position offers the opportunity to apply your imaging expertise in a fast-paced emergency medicine setting, supporting both the clinical team and patients who require immediate diagnostic imaging. Your shifts are scheduled for Wednesdays, 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and Thursdays, 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
What You'll Do
- Operate multi-slice CT scanners to capture diagnostic images according to established protocols
- Position patients safely and effectively to optimize image acquisition
- Monitor patient conditions during imaging procedures and respond to patient needs
- Maintain strict quality standards for all images produced
- Document imaging studies accurately and ensure timely image delivery to physicians
- Follow infection control and radiation safety protocols to protect patient and staff safety
- Communicate clearly with patients to reduce anxiety and ensure cooperation
What We're Looking For
- Current CT Technologist certification (ARRT or equivalent state credential)
- 2+ years of professional CT imaging experience
- Strong knowledge of CT physics, anatomy, and diagnostic imaging principles
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with physicians and clinical staff
- Compassion for patients and commitment to quality emergency care
- Flexibility to adapt to varying patient volumes and clinical priorities
