Field Service Technician II

Clean Harbors is seeking a Field Service Technician II to join our Grand Rapids, Michigan team. This full-time field-based position offers meaningful work in hazardous waste management and environmental site remediation across Kent County and the surrounding region.

Role Overview

As a Field Service Technician II at Clean Harbors, you'll perform essential field operations focused on hazardous waste cleanup, site remediation, and equipment decontamination. Your Responsibilities

• Execute field-based hazardous waste cleanup and disposal operations at customer sites
• Perform site remediation and environmental preparation activities
• Conduct equipment decontamination and hazardous material handling
• Handle, process, and package hazardous materials in accordance with regulatory requirements
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of work performed
• Communicate with site supervisors and clients regarding project scope and progress
• Operate field equipment and tools safely and effectively
• Support team efforts to maintain safety and environmental stewardship

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification
• Prior experience in hazardous waste handling, environmental services, or field work
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Ability to work effectively in outdoor and varied environmental conditions
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and regulatory compliance
• Physical capability to perform demanding fieldwork and material handling
