Civil Litigation Associate Attorney (3 years of experience)

Kightlinger & Gray, LLP is seeking a Civil Litigation Associate Attorney with 3 years of experience for our Uptown, Marion County office. This is a full-time position supporting civil litigation clients throughout the region.

What This Role Involves

You'll work on civil litigation matters from start to finish, handling cases that require strong legal analysis and client advocacy. As an associate attorney, you'll manage substantive work alongside our partners, developing deeper expertise in litigation practices while serving a variety of clients with different legal needs.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Conduct and defend depositions
• Draft legal motions, including motions for summary judgment
• Manage case timelines and discovery processes
• Track time and maintain detailed case documentation
• Prepare briefs and litigation correspondence
• Support trial preparation and court appearances
• Execute general litigation procedures and administrative tasks

What You Bring

• 3+ years of civil litigation experience
• Demonstrated skill taking and defending depositions
• Strong legal writing and motion-drafting experience
• Solid understanding of litigation procedures and civil practice
• Organized approach to time tracking and case management
• Clear communication and attention to detail
• Active law license in good standing
