Physical Therapist / PT / PRN

Broad River Rehabilitation is seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) for a part-time, as-needed position with consistent hours at our Assisted Living Facility in Trent Woods, Craven County, North Carolina. Position Summary

We're hiring a Physical Therapist to deliver compassionate, evidence-based rehabilitation services to residents at our Assisted Living community in New Bern, NC. As a PRN PT, you'll work flexible schedules with predictable staffing needs while helping older adults regain mobility, independence, and confidence in daily activities. This role is perfect for clinicians seeking dependable part-time employment without full-time obligations.

What You'll Do

• Evaluate residents' physical function, mobility limitations, and rehabilitation potential
• Design individualized therapy plans focused on strength, balance, gait, and functional independence
• Conduct direct patient treatment using manual techniques, therapeutic exercise, and modalities
• Document clinical assessments, progress notes, and outcome measures per facility standards
• Collaborate with nursing, social services, and care staff to coordinate comprehensive resident care
• Educate residents and families on home safety, exercise programs, and fall prevention strategies
• Monitor patient progress and modify interventions to achieve functional goals

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution
• Valid, unrestricted North Carolina Physical Therapy license
• Prior experience in Assisted Living, skilled nursing, or geriatric settings strongly preferred
• Strong clinical documentation and communication abilities
• Ability to work independently and build effective interdisciplinary relationships
