Lockheed Martin seeks a Security Assistant Specialist for our Edgewood, Orange County location near Orlando, Florida. In this full-time role, you'll manage critical security clearance and investigative processes essential to our national security mission.

About This Position

As a Security Assistant Specialist at our Edgewood facility, you'll support vital personnel security operations that serve our nation's defense interests. This position manages the clearance documentation and investigation coordination that enables our team to maintain the highest security standards. Your work ensures that security processes operate with precision and comply with federal requirements.

Your Responsibilities

• Review Personnel Security Clearance Questionnaires and supporting documentation for government submission
• Initiate and track new investigation requests and coordinate periodic reinvestigations
• Process personnel eligibility changes and maintain accurate security status records
• Monitor and escalate overdue tickets and requests to management
• Handle physical and electronic distribution of security documentation
• Process electronic fingerprint submissions and maintain fingerprint records

What We're Looking For

• Current Interim Secret security clearance (required before employment begins)
• Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple concurrent tasks
• Meticulous attention to detail with sensitive and confidential records
• Knowledge of federal security clearance procedures and compliance requirements
• Professional communication skills for coordinating with government agencies
