Role Overview

As a Direct Support Professional, you'll work one-on-one with individuals in residential and community settings across Leake County. Core Duties

• Assist individuals with personal care, daily living activities, and hygiene routines in their homes
• Support community integration by accompanying clients to appointments, social outings, and recreational activities
• Help with meal preparation, household tasks, and maintaining a safe, clean living environment
• Monitor health, safety, and wellbeing while documenting observations and reporting to supervisors
• Build trusting relationships and provide emotional support to individuals and their families
• Follow individualized care plans and protocols while remaining flexible and responsive to unique needs

Skills & Qualifications

• Compassion and genuine interest in supporting people with developmental disabilities
• Strong reliability and consistent, dependable attendance
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Physical capability to assist with mobility and daily activities
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for community support activities
• Willingness to obtain required certifications and training
• High school diploma or GED preferred
