About the Role
The Director of PathwayOregon serves as a strategic leader within Undergraduate Education and Student Success, responsible for developing, implementing, and scaling initiatives that support student academic progression and success. This is a regular, ongoing appointment offering the opportunity to create lasting impact on students within our educational community.
What You'll Do
- Develop and refine comprehensive student pathway frameworks that align with institutional goals and labor market needs
- Collaborate with faculty, advisors, and student-facing departments to integrate pathways across the undergraduate curriculum
- Design and execute programs that improve student retention, degree completion, and career outcomes
- Lead cross-functional teams to ensure consistent student experience and program quality
- Monitor program metrics, analyze student data, and adjust strategies based on evidence and feedback
- Manage program budgets and resources to maximize student impact
- Engage with students, families, and community partners to gather insights and build support
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; master's degree in higher education, student affairs, education, business administration, or related field strongly preferred
- 5+ years of professional experience in higher education, student development, advising, or related student-centered environments
- Demonstrated experience leading teams and driving organizational change
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills with ability to make evidence-based decisions
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities
- Strategic thinking with ability to balance vision with practical implementation
- Commitment to supporting diverse student populations and fostering inclusive excellence
