About the Role

This full-time travel assignment places a skilled RN within a Progressive Care Unit (PCU), caring for telemetry and medical-surgical patients who require close monitoring. The position runs for 13 weeks at 36 hours per week, with 12-hour night shifts and a scheduled start date of July 27, 2026. As a Travel Med Surg / PCU Telemetry Nurse with GetMed Staffing, Inc., you will join a supportive, traveler-friendly clinical team and deliver hands-on bedside care to patients transitioning between intensive and general care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to PCU and telemetry patients during overnight 12-hour shifts.
• Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and respond promptly to changes in patient status.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to physician orders and unit protocols.
• Document assessments and care accurately, and communicate clearly with the multidisciplinary team.
• Educate patients and families on care plans, recovery, and discharge expectations.

Qualifications

• Active RN licensure appropriate for the assignment location.
• Demonstrated experience in Progressive Care, telemetry, or medical-surgical nursing.
• Confidence with cardiac monitoring and the ability to manage acute, higher-acuity caseloads.
• Flexibility and reliability suited to a 13-week, 36-hour-per-week night-shift travel contract.
• Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and team-communication skills.
