About the Role

As a Cook II at Harriet's Lounge, you'll take on expanded kitchen responsibilities and mentor junior cooking staff while executing high-quality dishes that define our dining experience. This is an ideal role for an experienced line cook ready to develop leadership skills and deepen expertise in a professional kitchen setting.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and plate dishes according to executive chef specifications and Starwood standards, maintaining consistency across all services
• Lead assigned kitchen stations, overseeing prep work, plating, and timing during service periods
• Train and supervise Cook I and kitchen prep staff, providing guidance on technique and food safety protocols
• Manage food inventory for your station, monitor quality, and communicate waste or supply issues to management
• Maintain rigorous hygiene and sanitation standards across all kitchen areas and equipment
• Collaborate with the executive chef and sous chefs on menu development, seasonal specials, and kitchen improvements
• Respond to changing service demands and adjust priorities to ensure seamless dinner service

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 2–3 years of line cooking experience in a full-service restaurant or hotel kitchen
• Proficiency with knife skills, classical cooking techniques, and food safety practices
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Experience with training or mentoring junior kitchen staff
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude toward kitchen teamwork
• High school diploma or equivalent; culinary school or formal training preferred
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
