About This Position

Sundt Construction seeks an experienced Rigger Journeyman to lead rigging operations on diverse projects. You'll be responsible for designing and implementing lifting solutions that meet strict safety standards, industry codes, and project specifications. Working full-time in Cypress Valley, Conway County, you'll be part of a team that values precision, safety, and professional excellence in every lift.

What You'll Do

• Design and lay out rigging configurations for lifting and installing equipment, machinery, and materials
• Select, inspect, and properly attach the right slings, cables, pulleys, winches, blocks, sheaves, wires, and straps for each application
• Calculate load weights and verify rigging adequacy according to lifting plans and safety codes
• Execute lifts safely in accordance with all applicable OSHA regulations, industry standards, and project specifications
• Coordinate with crane operators, equipment handlers, and site supervisors to ensure controlled, secure lifts
• Inspect rigging equipment before each use to identify wear, damage, or defects
• Maintain detailed documentation of rigging setups and lift procedures for project records

Skills & Qualifications

• Valid Rigger Journeyman certification or equivalent demonstrated expertise
• Deep knowledge of rigging equipment, slings, cables, blocks, winches, and associated hardware
• Strong ability to read lifting plans and engineering drawings
• Excellent understanding of load calculations and rigging safety principles
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces if required by projects
• Clear communication skills and ability to work effectively with crews and equipment operators
• Commitment to OSHA compliance and proactive safety awareness
