About the Role
As a Carpenter with Sundt Construction, you'll perform a wide variety of carpentry tasks across different project types in the Balcones and Travis County area. This full-time position involves precision layout work, material preparation, framing, and finish carpentry—all executed in compliance with project plans, local building codes, and industry best practices. You may also contribute to other skilled trades as your experience and the project needs align.
What You'll Do
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications
- Measure, mark, and cut building materials with precision
- Perform structural and finish carpentry work following all applicable codes and standards
- Install framing, sheathing, trim, and architectural features as required
- Maintain a safe, organized work environment and practice lean construction principles to eliminate waste and maximize efficiency
- Collaborate with project teams to meet quality, timeline, and safety objectives
- Work across different crafts or assist in adjacent skilled trades when assigned
