Local Contract Nurse RN – CVOR

Position Summary

This full-time, local contract nursing role places you in the cardiovascular operating room at DCH Health System, a leading healthcare facility in Tuscaloosa County. Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care and monitoring in the cardiovascular operating room
• Assist surgical teams during CVOR procedures with instrument passing, sponging, and patient positioning
• Monitor and document vital signs, hemodynamic parameters, and patient response to anesthesia
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols, sterile field maintenance, and surgical safety standards
• Maintain detailed and accurate medical records and documentation of all procedures
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical support staff to achieve optimal surgical outcomes
• Prepare operating room equipment, supplies, and materials for incoming procedures

Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of Alabama
• Prior experience in cardiovascular or operating room nursing strongly preferred
