The Opportunity

Summit Companies is seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Technician to join our Farmington operations team. In this full-time role, you'll work on diverse projects installing and servicing fire sprinkler systems across San Juan County. Key Responsibilities

• Design and layout fire sprinkler systems according to code specifications and client requirements
• Cut, thread, and assemble piping and tubing to exact specifications
• Install pipe systems, valves, and sprinkler heads on commercial and industrial properties
• Bond piping connections using welding or mechanical methods as required
• Perform routine maintenance, inspection, and repair of existing fire protection systems
• Test and certify completed systems for proper function and compliance
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues in piping systems and processing equipment

Requirements

• Proven experience installing fire sprinkler systems or equivalent piping or HVAC background
• Proficiency with cutting, threading, and assembly tools and equipment
• Knowledge of fire protection codes and local building standards
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Physical ability to lift, bend, and work at heights as needed
• Communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in team environments
