Executive Director, Payer Strategy and Engagement (Tumor HI Program)

Rezolute is seeking an Executive Director of Payer Strategy and Engagement to lead our Tumor Health Initiative program in Redwood City, San Mateo County. This full-time position offers the opportunity to shape reimbursement and payer relationships for breakthrough therapies targeting severe metabolic and endocrine disorders.

About the Role

As Executive Director, you will direct all strategic initiatives related to payer engagement and health insurance reimbursement for our oncology and metabolic disease portfolio. This leadership role bridges clinical science, commercial strategy, and payer dialogue to accelerate patient access to transformative treatments. You'll develop and execute comprehensive payer engagement strategies that advance our rare disease programs while building lasting partnerships with key stakeholders across the healthcare ecosystem.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Lead payer strategy development and execution across all tumor-focused programs, with emphasis on the Health Initiative portfolio
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with payers, pharmacy benefit managers, and managed care organizations
• Conduct health economic analyses and manage outcomes research to support reimbursement discussions
• Oversee market access planning, competitive intelligence, and payer landscape analysis
• Collaborate with medical, commercial, and regulatory teams to align payer messaging with clinical evidence
• Develop and present compelling business cases and reimbursement strategies to payer decision-makers
• Manage cross-functional teams and external consultants supporting payer engagement initiatives

What We're Looking For

• 15+ years of experience in payer strategy, market access, health economics, or reimbursement leadership
• Proven success in securing payer coverage and positive formulary positions for rare disease therapies
• Deep understanding of managed care dynamics, formulary development, and payer decision-making processes
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams in a biopharmaceutical, medical device, or healthcare setting
• Strong analytical, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
• Bachelor's degree required; MBA, MHA, or advanced health economics credential preferred
