Creative Director, Copywriter

VML, part of WPP, is hiring a Creative Director, Copywriter in Highland Park, Dallas to lead brand-building creative work for Fortune 500 clients. This full-time role bridges strategic creative vision with powerful copy to develop campaigns that connect brands with audiences and drive business results.

Position Summary

As Creative Director, Copywriter at VML, you'll spearhead creative strategy and copy development for some of the world's most recognized brands. You'll own the voice and vision of campaigns that span brand experience, customer experience, and commerce—bringing human-first thinking to every project while influencing how major clients reach their audiences and achieve their goals.

Responsibilities

• Direct creative strategy and copywriting for integrated brand campaigns across multiple touchpoints and channels
• Develop original creative concepts, messaging frameworks, and brand voice guidelines that align with client objectives
• Lead cross-functional teams to translate strategic briefs into compelling, award-worthy creative work
• Collaborate with account leaders, strategy, design, and production teams to deliver end-to-end campaigns
• Drive creative excellence through feedback, iteration, and a commitment to human-centered design thinking

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional creative direction and copywriting experience in advertising, brand agencies, or in-house creative teams
• Demonstrated portfolio of award-winning or results-driven creative work and copy
• Exceptional strategic thinking, storytelling ability, and command of language across formats (broadcast, digital, print, experiential)
• Experience managing creative teams and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate creative concepts and defend strategic choices
