Senior Accountant

PGW Auto Glass seeks a Senior Accountant for our Cranberry Township, Butler County office to lead lease accounting, financial close, and reporting operations on a full-time basis.

About This Position

This senior-level accounting role is central to our month-end and year-end financial reporting cycle. You'll take ownership of lease accounting standards compliance, internal control frameworks, and audit readiness. Your expertise in operating and finance lease accounting under ASC 842 will guide the organization's accounting practices and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial records.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct all lease accounting activities, ensuring compliance with ASC 842 standards and proper classification of operating and finance leases
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including account reconciliation, journal entry preparation, and trial balance review
• Prepare and review financial statements, disclosures, and supporting schedules for management and external stakeholders
• Design, document, and maintain internal accounting controls; identify and address control gaps and process improvements
• Support external audits by organizing documentation, responding to audit inquiries, and facilitating auditor access to records and personnel
• Serve as the accounting department's subject-matter expert on lease transactions and ASC 842 application

Who We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
• Proven experience in lease accounting and ASC 842 implementation
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls frameworks
• Proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheet tools
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Clear written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain accounting concepts to non-accounting teams
