Business Development Manager – Soundview

Morgan Stanley is hiring a Business Development Manager in Purchase, Westchester County for a full-time role that drives growth through strategic client relationships and deal development within one of the world's leading global financial services firms.

What This Role Involves

You'll be responsible for identifying and cultivating new business opportunities while strengthening partnerships with existing clients. In this position, you'll act as a bridge between market opportunities and Morgan Stanley's investment banking, securities, and wealth management capabilities—translating client needs into tailored financial solutions that expand the firm's revenue and market reach.

Core Duties

• Source, qualify, and develop new client leads through market research and professional networking
• Design and deliver compelling pitches and proposals aligned with client objectives
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across investment banking, securities, and wealth management to structure comprehensive solutions
• Manage account relationships through regular communication, progress tracking, and value delivery
• Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and market dynamics to refine business strategy
• Maintain visibility into pipeline health, forecast accuracy, and deal progression metrics
• Shepherd opportunities from initial qualification through close and integration

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional background
• Minimum 3 years of business development, enterprise sales, or client-facing experience—preferably in financial services, advisory, or capital markets
• Strong analytical reasoning and ability to understand complex financial concepts
• Proven communication and persuasion abilities in both written and verbal formats
• Track record of building and sustaining trust-based relationships across organizational levels
• Proficiency in CRM platforms and Microsoft Office applications
• Self-directed drive balanced with collaborative team orientation
• Prior exposure to investment banking or markets knowledge is valued
