The Opportunity
This is a full-time role architecting and optimizing enterprise infrastructure systems at scale. You'll serve as a trusted technical advisor, designing solutions that enhance system reliability, reduce operational complexity, and accelerate deployment cycles. Working with the Department of Veterans Affairs, you'll influence critical infrastructure decisions across a large government agency while maintaining a remote work arrangement.
What You'll Do
- Lead infrastructure engineering initiatives focused on system optimization and modernization
- Design and implement automation strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual overhead
- Develop and execute Service Integration and Management frameworks that coordinate multiple IT service providers
- Provide deep technical expertise and strategic recommendations on infrastructure architecture and enterprise best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate disparate systems and establish unified operational standards
- Document infrastructure designs, processes, and operational procedures for organizational knowledge transfer
Skills & Qualifications
- Extensive experience in enterprise infrastructure engineering and network operations
- Demonstrated expertise in infrastructure optimization and automation methodologies
- Proven background implementing and managing Service Integration and Management (SIAM) practices
- Strong understanding of IT governance, compliance requirements, and enterprise architecture principles
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Eligibility for United States Suitability/Public Trust clearance
