As a Relationship Banker at M&T Bank in Brunswick, you'll be at the heart of our branch operations, combining customer service excellence with strategic sales growth. You'll greet customers in the lobby, assess their financial situations, and guide them toward solutions that meet their unique needs. Your day blends one-on-one consultations, account servicing, and relationship building—all designed to help customers achieve their financial goals while contributing to branch success.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer interactions across the branch, from initial greeting through transaction completion
• Identify and respond to customer needs through proactive conversation and active listening
• Open new accounts, service existing relationships, and process routine banking transactions
• Cross-sell M&T Bank's full range of products—checking, savings, credit cards, loans, and investment services
• Build and maintain a personal customer portfolio, nurturing long-term relationships
• Conduct outreach to existing customers to understand evolving needs and recommend appropriate solutions
• Escalate complex customer needs to specialized team members or partners for resolution
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all banking regulations and policies

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Customer service experience in a financial or retail setting preferred
• Basic math skills and attention to detail
• Reliable transportation to our Brunswick location
