Claiborne County Schools is seeking a passionate and qualified Softball Head Coach to lead the softball program at Claiborne High School in Riverside, Riverside County. This full-time, on-site role offers an opportunity to shape student-athletes both on and off the diamond.
About the Role
As the Softball Head Coach at Claiborne High School, you will direct every facet of the school's softball program. Working within a Tennessee public high school setting, you will build a competitive, values-driven team while upholding the standards of the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association (TSSAA) and the policies of Claiborne County Schools.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and direct all components of the high school softball program, from tryouts through the competitive season.
- Design and run productive practice sessions that strengthen softball fundamentals, skill development, and game strategy.
- Prepare athletes for competition and provide guidance during games to support team performance.
- Maintain full adherence to TSSAA rules and regulations at all times.
- Follow all Claiborne County Schools district policies and procedures.
- Mentor student-athletes, promoting sportsmanship, discipline, teamwork, and personal growth.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge of softball fundamentals, coaching techniques, and game strategy.
- Familiarity with TSSAA regulations governing Tennessee high school athletics.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
- A commitment to the academic and athletic success of student-athletes.
- Ability to comply with all school district policies and athletic association guidelines.
