Davies Risk Services is hiring part-time Insurance Loss Control Surveyors in Clyde, Haywood County to evaluate and document property conditions for insurance underwriting and risk assessment. What This Role Involves

Insurance Loss Control Surveyors evaluate properties on behalf of insurance companies to assess risk and ensure compliance with policy requirements. You'll travel to residential and commercial locations throughout the area, conducting thorough inspections and documenting findings that directly impact underwriting decisions.

Core Duties

• Conduct on-site inspections of residential and commercial properties
• Document property conditions with detailed photographs and written observations
• Record key property information including construction type, age, occupancy, and maintenance status
• Identify potential hazards, code violations, or risk factors that affect insurability
• Prepare comprehensive survey reports that are clear and accurate for underwriting review
• Communicate professionally with property owners during inspections
• Maintain detailed records and meet reporting deadlines

Who We're Looking For

• Experience with property inspections, construction assessment, or risk evaluation (preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to document observations objectively
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license required
• Ability to work independently in the field with minimal supervision
• Professional communication skills with property owners and insurers
• Willingness to work part-time on a flexible schedule
• A valid background check may be required
