Join Davies Risk Services as an Insurance Loss Control Surveyor serving the Springfield, Greene County area. This part-time position offers independent contractor flexibility conducting comprehensive property assessments for residential and commercial clients.
About the Role
As an Insurance Loss Control Surveyor, you'll perform detailed property evaluations that help insurers assess risk and determine appropriate coverage. Working independently, you'll visit client properties at scheduled times to document conditions and gather information critical to underwriting decisions.
What You'll Do
- Conduct thorough inspections of residential and commercial properties throughout the Springfield area
- Photograph property exteriors, interiors, and specific areas to document current condition
- Record detailed information about building age, construction type, roof condition, and maintenance status
- Assess property systems, identify potential risks, and note any damage or deficiencies
- Gather and verify property owner information and insurance history details
- Complete comprehensive survey reports documenting all findings and observations
- Communicate professionally with property owners and managers during site visits
- Submit accurate, timely reports that support sound underwriting decisions
What We're Looking For
- Strong attention to detail and professional observation skills
- Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule effectively
- Experience with property inspection or assessment work preferred
- Excellent written communication and report documentation abilities
- Valid driver's license and dependable transportation
- Comfortable using photography equipment and basic technology tools
- Willingness to travel throughout Greene County for property inspections
