Strategy& – Operations Strategy Consulting, Manager

PwC is seeking a Strategy& Operations Strategy Consulting Manager based in Chicago's Illinois Medical District to lead transformational operational improvement initiatives for enterprise clients across sectors.

Position Summary

As a Manager with PwC's Strategy& practice, you will drive strategic operations consulting engagements where data-driven insights meet real-world business impact. In this full-time role, you'll guide clients through operational redesign, efficiency optimization, and performance improvement initiatives. Your work will span process redesign, cost reduction, supply chain enhancement, and organizational effectiveness—leveraging both analytical rigor and practical change management to deliver measurable outcomes. This position involves client-facing travel up to 60% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage consulting projects focused on operational strategy, process optimization, and cost efficiency improvements
• Conduct rigorous diagnostic analysis of client operations, identifying inefficiencies and opportunities for competitive advantage
• Develop and present strategic recommendations to C-suite and senior leadership, articulating complex findings in business terms
• Build and mentor junior consultants; oversee quality of analytical work and client deliverables
• Partner with cross-functional teams to design and implement change initiatives, ensuring successful adoption and sustained results
• Drive new business development and client relationship expansion within your accounts

Requirements

• 7+ years of consulting, operations management, or strategy experience, with 3+ years in a management or senior analyst capacity
• Demonstrated expertise in operational strategy, process improvement, supply chain optimization, or performance transformation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proficiency with business analytics tools and financial modeling
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities; experience presenting to senior executives
• Track record of leading cross-functional teams and managing client relationships
• Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time to client sites
• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, economics, or related field (MBA preferred)
