About the Role
The Behavior Mentor position is part of the Student Services Division at the CCDC Great Valley Campus. In this role, you'll provide direct support and mentoring to students, focusing on developing positive behavioral skills, emotional regulation, and social-emotional growth. You'll work as part of a collaborative team dedicated to creating a supportive learning environment where students can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct behavioral support and mentoring to students throughout the school day
- Implement individualized behavior plans and support strategies in coordination with classroom and clinical staff
- Build positive relationships with students to encourage engagement and behavioral progress
- Monitor and document student behavior and emotional responses
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and family members to support student success
- Model and reinforce positive behavior expectations and social-emotional skills
- Assist in creating a safe, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
What You Bring
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to connect with students
- Patience, empathy, and genuine commitment to supporting young people
- Experience working in educational, behavioral health, or social services settings
- Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams
- Reliable, professional presence with a flexible approach to problem-solving
- High school diploma or equivalent; related certifications or coursework a plus
