Food Service Aide

What This Role Involves

As a Food Service Aide at Froedtert South, Inc., you'll perform essential kitchen and food service support that keeps our operation running smoothly and efficiently. Your work directly impacts how our team prepares and serves meals to our guests. You'll handle tasks ranging from food preparation and tray assembly to equipment operation and kitchen maintenance, all while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and sanitation.

Your Responsibilities

• Assemble and arrange meal plates and trays according to portion guidelines and presentation standards
• Portion, prepare, and serve food items in compliance with food safety protocols
• Transport and deliver assembled meal trays to designated serving areas and locations
• Operate commercial-grade dishwashing equipment and manage high-volume wash cycles throughout your shift
• Perform manual dishwashing, scrubbing, and sanitization of cookware, utensils, and kitchen implements
• Stock, organize, and store cleaned dishware, cookware, pots, pans, and kitchen supplies in proper locations
• Lift, carry, and transport heavy food containers, supply boxes, and kitchen equipment as required
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in food preparation areas, dishwashing stations, and storage spaces
• Adhere strictly to established food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety guidelines

Skills & Qualifications

• Physical ability to lift and carry items regularly and stand for extended periods during your shift
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively under supervision
• Strong commitment to maintaining food safety and sanitation standards
• Reliable attendance and punctual arrival for all scheduled shifts
• Teamwork and cooperation with other kitchen and food service staff
• Willingness to learn and take on assigned tasks with a positive attitude
• Basic organizational and time management capabilities
• Food service or kitchen experience is a plus but not required
