RN Infusion – Outpatient Oncology

UCHealth is hiring a Registered Nurse to join our Outpatient Oncology Infusion team at our Parker, Douglas County location. In this full-time role, you'll deliver compassionate infusion therapy to cancer patients while working day shifts in a supportive clinical environment.

About the Role

This onsite position places you at the heart of patient care, administering chemotherapy and supportive infusions to outpatient oncology patients. Working 72 hours per pay period over two weeks, you'll partner with patients and their families during critical stages of cancer treatment. You'll be responsible for medication preparation, patient monitoring, side effect management, and creating an environment where patients feel supported and informed throughout their infusion appointments.

What You'll Do

• Administer intravenous chemotherapy and supportive medications per protocol and physician orders
• Obtain baseline vital signs and patient health history; assess tolerance and response throughout treatment
• Educate patients and caregivers about medication effects, self-care, and when to seek immediate medical attention
• Document clinical assessments, medication administration, and patient responses in the electronic health record
• Coordinate with oncology physicians, pharmacists, and support staff to optimize patient safety and outcomes
• Recognize and manage infusion-related adverse reactions with appropriate nursing intervention
• Maintain chemotherapy preparation and administration safety standards and infection prevention protocols
• Advocate for patient comfort and emotional well-being in the outpatient setting

What We're Looking For

• Current RN license in Colorado
• Experience with chemotherapy or infusion nursing (preferred)
• Proficiency in intravenous medication administration and venipuncture
• Strong clinical decision-making and patient assessment skills
• Excellent communication—both with patients and interdisciplinary teams
• Ability to thrive in a busy outpatient oncology environment
• Current BLS certification
• Commitment to evidence-based, compassionate patient care

Compensation and Schedule

This full-time position offers hourly pay from $35.29 to $54.71, based on your relevant experience. You'll work day shift hours totaling 72 hours biweekly. This is an onsite role—remote and hybrid arrangements are not available.
