This full-time position focuses on managing risk oversight of Financial Crime Compliance models and establishing control systems that ensure their continued accuracy, effectiveness, and regulatory alignment.

About the Role

As a Model Risk Control Specialist in Non-Financial Risk, you'll evaluate and oversee the firm's Financial Crime Compliance models, ensuring they function reliably and meet all regulatory and policy requirements. You'll partner across the organization with model developers, compliance teams, and business leaders to identify improvement opportunities, strengthen governance processes, and maintain the comprehensive documentation required for internal and regulatory purposes.

What You'll Do

  • Validate model design, methodologies, and data quality for Financial Crime Compliance applications
  • Create and maintain governance documentation that clearly outlines model frameworks and controls
  • Establish performance monitoring processes and conduct regular testing of model outputs
  • Work with model owners to assess risks, resolve gaps, and implement enhancements
  • Ensure compliance with internal model governance standards and regulatory expectations
  • Support preparation for regulatory examinations and audits through detailed evidence and records
  • Monitor model changes and updates, assessing impact on risk and compliance
  • Contribute to the development of best practices for model risk management across teams

What We're Looking For

  • Background in model risk management, model validation, quantitative analysis, or compliance
  • Understanding of financial crime risk frameworks, anti-money laundering regulations, and compliance requirements
  • Ability to evaluate complex models and assess their control environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, especially for technical documentation
  • Experience collaborating across business, risk, and compliance organizations
  • Proficiency with data analysis tools and spreadsheet applications
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or analytical field
  • Working knowledge of banking regulations and model governance frameworks
